iPhone 5

After the much waited excitement about iPhone 4S, now it’s the turn of iPhone 5. How it will look like and what would be the features. After iPhone 4 outstanding, now circulating the new generation of Apple’s smart phone iPhone 5 will be released soon. Although not yet officially released, but iPhone 5 is already a warm conversation for gadget lovers, proved to have a lot of speculation and rumors are outstanding on the internet related to iPhone 5. This smarthpone is development and successor of  iPhone 4. Design similar to iPhone 4, except that improvements will occur on the screen size, camera, 4G networks, processor and on the antenna will be of particular concern, because a weak point in previous versions.

iPhone 5 will use a wider screen, which is 4 inches. The screen size from 3.5 inches to 4 inches without increasing the overall size of the device, but reduce the size of the bezel or frame. The processor is probably already using dual core Apple A5 processor. Additionally, the smartphone is also rumored to be using NFC technology (Near Field Communication), which will facilitate users in making payments by simply touching the iPhone 5 into digital payment devices.

iPhone 4S Tips & Tricks

iPhone 4S Tips & Tricks
If you’re one of the million lucky souls who has spent a few minutes today tenderly lifted an iPhone 4S out of its lovingly-crafted, pearly white packaging, perhaps after spending hours in the driving rain outside an Apple Store, you might be stuck with a rather odd question: what now? Except for Siri — which, admittedly, you will be playing with for weeks to come — there really is nothing new. Yes, iOS 5 has a ton of neat features, and iCloud is awesome — but you would’ve had access to those even if you hadn’t handed over a fistful of dollars for an iPhone 4S.
There are still a few things that you can do to make the most of your new, super-fast iPhone, however.

Tell Siri who you’re related to

No, not so that Siri can tell your wife that you’ve been saying inappropriate things to your new, cutesy assistant — but rather so that you can tell Siri to “call my wife.” Pull up Contacts, edit a contact, click Add Field, scroll down to Related People, then add yourself and your relation (see right). Alternatively, you can simply tell Siri “Mary Poppins is my wife,” “My brother is John Smith,” and so on; a much more Applesque approach, admittedly.

Set up WiFi Sync

Not only can iOS 5 devices stand alone and be activated without iTunes, but you can now sync the contents of your iPhone, iPad, or iPod via WiFi. To do this, just plug in the cable, open up iTunes, select your device from the left, and scroll down to select “Sync with this device over Wi-Fi.” You’ll be walked through a simple setup process, and that’s it.
If you want to copy large amounts of data you’ll still want to use USB, though: it’s faster, and WiFi sucks up quite a lot of battery power.

Install some juicy games, play them on your lounge TV

Hardware-wise, by far the most stand-out feature on the iPhone 4S is its SGX 543MP3 graphics processor: it’s seven times faster than the iPhone 4, and almost twice as fast as the next smartphone (Galaxy S II). In everyday use, though, you won’t really notice the new GPU: the whole phone will just feel a little bit snappier… Unless you install some hardcore, bleeding-edge iPhone games!
Rage HD simply flies on the iPhone 4S, and Need for Speed Hot Pursuit and Galaxy on Fire 2 are good options too. Presumably the best game that will really show off the new graphics chip is Infinity Blade II, which was demonstrated at the iPhone 4S press event — but unfortunately it won’t be available to download until December 1.
It’s worth noting that you can hook these games up to your big-screen TV by way of Apple TV and AirPlay, and while the iPhone 4S isn’t quite as powerful as a video games console, it’s getting there…

Get a cheaper SIM card

While the iPhone 4S is being advertised as a “world phone,” the situation regarding its replaceable SIM card is a little murky. According to PC Mag, it sounds like Verizon users will be able to switch out their micro-SIM for another — and Sprint customers might be able to as well. AT&T customers will be forced to use the installed SIM card.
What this means is that Verizon (and possibly Sprint) users can a) switch in a SIM that gives you cheaper international calls, and b) when you’re actually travelling around the globe with your world phone, you can use a prepaid SIM card to make cheap local calls. AT&T customers will sadly have to pay for an “international package” and then suffer through extortionate roaming costs.
Of course, if you wait until November, you’ll be able to pick up an unlocked iPhone 4S for $449. Whack in a prepaid T-Mobile SIM and off you go!

Make sure iCloud is set up on your Windows or Mac PC

Finally, it goes without saying, but because it requires an update we’ll say so anyway: To take full advantage of iCloud you need to install an app on your Windows computer, or update your Mac machine to OS X 10.7.2 or later. The setup process is easy enough, but the first synchronization will take some time if you’ve taken a lot of photos and movies on your iDevice.
You may also want to customize exactly what gets uploaded to and downloaded from iCloud, which is under Settings > iCloud on your device, iCloud in System Preferences on your Mac, or iCloud in Control Panel on your Windows computer. via

Apple iPhone 4S will be the top selling iPhone

Apple iPhone 4S will be the top selling iPhone
Apple iPhone 4S will going to be the top selling iPhone sooner and those who doubted about it, will surely see it in the coming days. There might be a clear indication that they were wrong because within a few days of being available for pre-order, it looks like retailers are already running out of stock.
If you pre-order the smartphone, you’ll be surprised to see that the delivery date has been pushed back from 1 to 2 weeks. This is both on the US and UK Apple online stores. This suggests that stocks for pre-order have already run out. This might also mean that you might have to wait in line at an Apple retail store, which can take forever.
On the US network operator AT&T, 200,000 customers have pre-ordered the iPhone 4S in the initial 12 hours it went on sale. The iPhone 4 received 600,000 pre-orders in the first 24 hours. However, this figure is spread across carriers and retailers across the UK, US, Japan, France, and Germany. Compared to the iPhone 4, the iPhone 4S may just break the record.
With Three, the 16 GB version can no longer be purchased via pre-order on their online store. You would have to head over to their retail store and fall in line to get the smartphone, which, again, may take forever.
Are you one of the many people who are dying to get their hands on an Apple iPhone 4S, or would you rather get your hands on an Android-powered HTC Sensation XE or wait for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus?

Rumours About the iPhone 5

There are endless iPhone 5 rumors floating around the Internet on a given day, but how do you know which ones are based in reality? We've scoured through some of the most prominent rumors and rounded up a few that we think might actually be true. Check them out below.
  • It will be announced on Oct. 4 — Earlier this week media received invitations to an event at Apple's Cupertino headquarters on Oct. 4 with the message "Let's talk iPhone." Tuesday can't come soon enough.
  • It could have voice control — Reports of an "Assistant" feature indicate voice activation that will allow users to make appointments, get directions, and set reminders as well as send SMS and iMessage texts just by speaking commands.
  • It could be released on Oct. 15 — France Telecom's CEO announced to the press recently that he's been told the iPhone 5 will be released on Oct. 15. This seems to fit the other release date rumors we've heard, which pinpoint the iPhone 5 launch to be "sometime in early October." Additionally, an Apple employee who remained nameless says we're "just weeks away" from an iPhone 5 announcement.
  • It could be available on Sprint — There are several rumors saying that Sprint won't just get the iPhone 5, but that it will offer unlimited data packages with the device and will also get its own iPad 2.
  • It could be slimmer, wider — Several leaked cases (and case images) seem to suggest that the iPhone 5 could come with a new form factor, similar to the iPad 2. A slimmer, wider body, tapered back, and rounded edges.
  • It could come with a better camera — Though a next-gen iPhone is almost guaranteed to come with a better camera, a photo that popped up on Flickr recently suggests the camera could be 8MP. Someone from inside Apple's cafeteria at 1 Infinite Loop in Cupertino, CA, snapped a pic of his sushi lunch and uncovered image data says it has an original size of 3264 x 2448 — approximately 8MP. Fishy, indeed.

Five Smart Phone Applications that Pays

Here’s a sure-fire way to earn a little pocket money. Use your smartphone to snap a photo of a restaurant or scan a barcode in a store. You can earn cash or gift certificates. Companies pay for such information, often because they want to know how their stores and products look in the real world. Here are five free smartphone apps that can earn you money.

1. Gigwalk

Gigwalk is a free iPhone application that notifies its users when “gigs” are available in their area. A gig can range from taking a photo of a restaurant menu or street sign to confirming that a product is in a store and pays between $4 and $7. The more gigs a Gigwalker completes, the more “Gigwalk Streetcred” one earns. Streetcred helps unlock higher paying jobs, which can pay up to $90.
Gigs are available in eight major US cities: New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago, Miami, and Seattle. The app uses Google maps to guide a “Gigwalker” to each gig.
“As I walk home, I probably pass 1,000 gigs and I choose the ones I like,” says Jennifer Silver, a human resources manager at a Boston architecture firm. She uses the money she earns to pay her $140 monthly phone bill. “It’s a really easy way to do what you want when you want to do it,” she adds.

2. Field Agent

By using a free iPhone app, “field agents” nationwide can find jobs in their area. Agents perform jobs like going into a retail store and snapping a photo of a display, or going to a gas station to note the conditions of the building, signs, or candy display. Companies want to ensure that a display is set up correctly and an aisle in a chain store looks the same in every location. Essentially, agents function as the eyes and ears of a company by completing each job.
“You can say that a product is out of stock, but when you see a picture and see 12 slots out of stock and in disarray … the photos take it to the next level,” says John Bull, founder of Field Agent, based in Fayetteville, Ark.
A job generally pays between $3 and $8, but it can pay more depending on the difficulty. Some jobs, like surveys, can be done at home, while others can be found using a built-in Google map.
“It’s my favorite secret,” says Janelle, a stay-at-home mom who lives just outside Phoenix. “I’ll go out in a day and can make $100 in five hours.” Since she joined in April this year, Ms. Cavangh has earned $987 and won an iPod touch in one of the company’s social media competitions.
“It could not be any easier,” says Keith Celia who lives in the Chicago area and has earned $630 since downloading the app. “It’s actually kind of fun.”
There are currently about 120,000 agents in the US. Field Agent apps are also available for the United Kingdom and Australia.

3. CheckPoints

CheckPoints is an iPhone and Android app that allows users to get points by going to stores – electronic stores, pharmacies, supermarkets, and so on. Then they check in through the free app and scan barcodes of products. After a scan, a digital coupon or interactive marketing message can pop up. The idea is to reward people for coming into a store, and boost the chance that they’ll buy something featured on the “virtual endcap” – advertised products on the to-be-scanned list.
The points can be used to redeem gift certificates to stores and restaurants, airline miles, or a donation to a charitable cause. Gift certificates are available at CVS, GameStop, and Fandango, among others. To win even more points – without going to another location – users can scan a designated “featured product” and earn a coin. Coins can be used to play games in the bonus area, which can result in thousands of points for a single win.

4. WeReward

With an iPhone, Android, or BlackBerry smartphone, you earn points every time you check-in on the WeReward app. Every point equals one penny, and once a user earns 1,000 points, the cash can be redeemed via PayPal.
Each business decides the number of points a check-in is worth, which could be five points or 200 points for a check-in and photo at a certain restaurant. Points can also be earned by completing designated tasks in any location, like snapping a photo of someone, or you, drinking a Jones soda.
To use the application, you must have a Facebook, Twitter, or FourSquare account.
Points can also be earned by referring friends to WeReward. Each friend who then joins earns you 10 percent of all of their check-in points.

5. MyLikes

MyLikes allows you to create endorsements for products and services, and then share them using your social media account on Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, or YouTube. An endorsement can be a sponsored tweet, a self-created video, or a sponsored Tumblr post.
The amount of money per click or per view is based on a “social score.” The score is calculated using engagement metrics such as likes on Facebook or retweets on Twitter, and how often your friends or followers clicked on previous endorsements.
The app is available for the iPhone and Android. Using the technology of their phones, MyLikes users can take photos of favorite products or check into locations, which they can then endorse.
